As you may be aware, See Change is available as a venue for hire for parties, community events, yoga classes and anything you can set your mind to.  In order to gather some photos for our gallery, we thought a great way would be to throw a “Fake Party”!  It will certainly have all the fun of a regular party, however, if you come, we may use a photo of you pulling a “This is AWESOME!!!’ face, in our promotional materials.

There will be jumping castles, a silent disco, Lego, crafting, and maybe even a cake with candles…  We invite you, your friends and family to come along and have some fun with us.

Relax deeply in this lush 2-hour session, combining elements of Restorative yoga, Pranayama (breathwork), guided meditation and Yin Yoga. Restorative yoga is a much-needed practice in our busy lives. We’ll use props such as bolsters, blocks and blankets to support the body in various postures, which in turn provides a chance for the body to soften and the mind to quiet. Not only will you feel tension melt away, but you will also restore and rejuvenate your nervous system for an overall sense of calm, wellness and peace.

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice that helps to balance out the yang of our modern lives. We focus on releasing deep connective tissue by holding postures for 3-5 minutes, utilising prop supports. This workshop will incorporate essential oils and candlelight to aid relaxation. A perfect workshop for winter, this session aims to decrease stress and anxiety, replenish energy stores and improve your physical and emotional health. You will float out of class!

Investment: $30. Workshop includes a take-home 5ml rollerball blend of calming essential oils

Nordic Walking is a great low impact all over body workout. It allows you to use your arms to take weight out of your lower body. In effect this strengthens your upper body whilst relieving a bit of tension from knees.

If you would like to get started and learn the technique of “using poles”, come along to a group lesson, or get in contact to organise a private session.

Lessons go for one hour.  As the class improves, we will extend the distance and time and possibly work in a social warm beverage along the way.

Heard of parents hiding veggies in Spaghetti Bolognaise to trick their kids into eating them? That’s kind of what a hula hooping is like! A surprisingly good workout disguised as a bunch of fun!
If you’re keen to switch up your training, or just want to learn a fun new skill, this is the workshop for you!
Hula hooping works your whole body, with a main focus on your core & co-ordination. Regardless of where your fitness is at, there will be something in this class to challenge or excite you.

For beginners, we’ll focus towards on-body hooping & basic tricks, for intermediate to advanced Hoopers, the emphasis will be on splitting & drills.

Exercise aside, the main point of the class will be to have a giggle & some fun & to pick up a cool new trick or two!

Sarah ‘Doogs’ McDougall has been clowning around professionally for over a decade, both as a circus trainer & professional acrobat. She has toured all over the world performing to audiences of all sizes & teaching beginners through to professionals, specialising in Hula Hoops, Single-point trapeze, Chains Trapeze & as an Acrobatic base.

Nothing like facing a challenging challenge with a group of team mates to get you going!

We are putting a team together for the MCG Stadium Stomp on Sunday July 22nd – Full Course 7300 stairs – 10:45am.

In the leadup to the challenge, we will be running a number of FREE Sunday training sessions which will involve lots of stairs around Fairfield.  A great way to meet other See Changers and get your fitness levels up with a fabulous and unique goal in mind.  You will receive a training schedule once you have signed up.

You will often see Paul upside down at See Change. As one of our trainers, his background is clowning as well as animal flow movement.

Enjoy a fun, invigorating 3hr (2hrs for kids) workshop that will equip you with everything you need to get started on your path to hand stands.

This workshop includes:

• Lead up drills to help you build strength and refine your technique
• Work you can practice at home
• A biomechanical breakdown of how Handstands work (so you can easily understand what to do, and what not to do)

This workshop is suitable for beginners. It is based on learning handstand fundamentals (so no wild variations).

Do your kids love LEGO? Do you need a fun outing these holidays? Come down to See Change for a morning of Creative freestyle Lego building, some guided build activities and Lego based games. We have a huge Lego collection to let your children’s creativity run wild, whilst you put your feet up!

Lego Free Play

School Holiday Lego Play is for children aged 4 – 12. (Younger children are welcome to play for Free with the bigger Duplo and Mega Blocks and other toys in our play area.)

We set up various areas for building with LEGO, an guided idea zone, build and race your own car, challenges, games, coloring and much much more.

When:

Wednesday 24th Jan 10:30am – 12:30pm.

Price:

$5 for 2 hours of play and activities.

$2.50 for any extra child (can be a sibling or friend)

Parents welcome to stay and play for free. There is a coffee shop located 2 doors away, so you are welcome to relax as the children play.

Children 3 and under FREE – to be supervised as there will be small LEGO pieces on site. We will also have Duplo and Mega blocks for the younger children. This will be a free play area, and no charge for the little ones in this area.

My son Max, will love meeting other kids who love Lego as much as he does.

This workshop provides a safe & sacred womens circle to put a narrative to your birth story, and holds a space for you to share and receive.

During the process of birth the crown chakra of the baby passes through the lower chakras (root or naval depending on delivery) of the mother, resulting in enormous energetic shifts. The birth of a mother activates a massive opening in the energetic centre of the heart.

The workshop offers a chakra healing sound meditation to restore balance to these energy centres. The chakra rebalance is done with the use of quartz crystal singing bowls.

Birth is a sacred, intense, and pivotal experience that marks tremendous shift in the lifespan and lifestyle. It is the birth of a mother and a father, the end of much and the beginning of more.

It is an often unspoken about event, despite it marking the beginning of new life, a change of all you know, and for many of us, fear, pain, and overwhelm at the sheer level of transformation that occured.
